Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a custom order take?

Most made-to-order builds are targeted to ship within 5–10 business days after payment and any required design details are confirmed. Shipping transit time is separate. If an order has not shipped, we aim to send updates around business day 3 and day 5, then at least every 5 business days until it ships.

Are PowerFlow controllers new?

Yes. Every complete controller we sell now starts with new controller hardware—not rebuilt or refurbished. Selected builds may use new original-brand hardware or clearly labeled new PowerFlow-compatible hardware. Features such as vibration feel, NFC/Amiibo support, optical mouse functionality, and other model-specific functions can differ, so each product page identifies the hardware platform and included features before purchase. A mail-in customization or repair service is different because it uses the controller supplied by the customer.

How does the Controller Builder work?

Use our Controller Builder to choose a hardware option, shell, controls, accents, and available performance upgrades. If the exact color, print, or combination you want is not listed, contact us before ordering and we will help create the closest workable build.

What does “TMR drift-resistant” mean?

TMR joystick modules use magnetic sensing designed to reduce the contact wear associated with traditional potentiometer sticks. “Drift-resistant” does not mean immune to accidental damage, calibration issues, software dead-zone settings, or failure in unrelated parts.

How is a controller tested before shipment?

Each completed build receives a model-appropriate function, fit, and finish check. We check stick centering and full range, unintended input, buttons and triggers, pairing, charging, rails, vibration, and applicable model-specific features. Switch 2 builds also receive a handheld fit and attachment check.

Can I mail in my own controller or Joy-Cons?

Mail-in customization or repair may be available depending on the model, parts, and current service capacity. Start with the Repair & Warranty Claims form. Do not ship anything until you receive written instructions.

What warranty applies to a PowerFlowGaming.com purchase?

Eligible complete controllers purchased directly from PowerFlowGaming.com with PowerFlow-installed TMR joysticks include our Lifetime Drift-Free Guarantee, provided under the terms of the Lifetime Drift Limited Warranty. It covers verified drift caused by a covered TMR module for as long as the original purchaser owns the eligible controller. It is not a lifetime warranty on every controller component.

What warranty applies to third-party marketplace purchases?

Eligible controller purchases made through Etsy, eBay, Mercari, Facebook Marketplace, Whatnot, or another authorized third-party marketplace include a 1-year limited warranty from the delivery date for defects in PowerFlow-installed parts and workmanship, subject to the listing and marketplace warranty terms. Claims and order communication must remain in the marketplace’s required message and order system when its rules require that.

Why is warranty registration optional?

Registration is a convenience, not a condition of coverage. It helps us match the controller to the order, purchasing channel, and original buyer so a future claim can move faster. A customer who still has valid proof of purchase should not lose eligible warranty coverage just because a QR card was misplaced or a form was not submitted. Reasonable proof of purchase and product identity may still be required. Register a purchase here.

What happens after warranty coverage ends—or if damage is not covered?

Eligible PowerFlow-built controllers may qualify for at-cost repair while compatible parts and service capacity remain available. The customer pays shipping and the approved cost of required parts; eligible repair labor is waived. No paid work begins until the estimate is approved.

Can I cancel or return a custom order?

A custom order may be cancelled within 2 hours of purchase or before work begins, whichever comes first. Once custom work has begun, custom and personalized items are final sale except for a covered defect, damage, marketplace protection, or rights provided by law. Eligible non-custom items may be returned within 14 days of delivery if unused and in original condition. See our Returns & Cancellations page for details.

How do I contact support?

Email support@powerflowgaming.com for website orders, or use the appropriate marketplace message system for third-party orders. For repair or warranty help, use the claim form so we receive the order and controller details together.
